Have you heard the Word on the Street? 2nd Friday Night Out is celebrating the art of words tonight, Nov. 10 from 6 to 10 p.m. in historic downtown Mesa on Main Street between Center and Robson.
Come check out the word art and more in this free event. Take a stand at the “speak your mind” soapbox where anyone can enjoy 15 minutes of fame while telling it like it is. Or read a poem or a selection from your favorite book. At 8 p.m., join the book-themed trivia contest with great prizes. Free to enter! Also on hand, authors will be discussing, selling, and signing their books.
Everyone can add their creativity to an interactive word art painting or contribute to the “Post It” Wall of Thoughts. They will give away free books to the first 100 people at the information booth at the southwest corner of Main and Macdonald.
Live bands will present self-penned lyrics and there will be over 50 artists showcasing original artwork. Plus science demonstrations by ASU’s Sundial Physics department, entertainment, magic performances, food trucks, shops and restaurants open late, and lots more fun.
