AT&T debuted a new 3,395-square-foot entertainment-focused retail store in Mesa yesterday. The new store near Superstition Springs Center is among the first of many new and remodeled AT&T stores that aim to connect customers to the content they want whenever and wherever.
The new entertainment store design is an evolution two years in the making and will reach 45 stores nationwide this year. It will be the design for all AT&T stores moving forward, both new and renovated.
“As technology continues to evolve, we need to make sure Maricopa County is evolving to support it,” said Steve Chucri, Maricopa County Supervisor, District 2. “AT&T’s new store and continued investment helps our community stay competitive and plugged into the latest trends.”
Some key features of the new store format are:
- Entertainment, everywhere. The new stores illustrate the intersection of entertainment and connection. AT&T added more screens to showcase video content across any device with its DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW services.
- Smartphones and more. The phones moved to the center of the store to make it easier for customers to compare and choose what’s best for them. The store also has focus areas to highlight the most popular smartphone brands and compatible accessories, like VR goggles and smartwatches.
- A comfortable experience. Selecting a phone, plan and even adding TV takes longer than grabbing a shirt off the rack. AT&T added comfortable areas where customers and employees can work together.
“Today, more than half of our network traffic is video. This new store in Mesa will help local customers connect seamlessly to the entertainment they love,” said Terry Stenzel, vice president and general manager, AT&T Southwest.
The new store is located at 1411 S. Power Road in Mesa. Hours of operation are: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
