Mesa’s SWIMkids USA is once again hosting the World’s Largest Swim Lesson tomorrow. They participate in this event every year to help prevent drownings, the second leading cause of unintended, injury-related death for children ages 1-14.
The global event is trying to break a record of 40,300 people participating in the World’s Largest Swim Lesson together on June 22. Last year, 40,298 participated in 641 locations in 24 countries.
Tomorrow’s SWIMkids USA free swim lessons will begin at 8 a.m. in Mesa at 2725 W. Guadalupe Road. The party will continue after the lessons are over at 8:45 a.m. with water slides and waffles.
