The Grand Canyon Council Boy Scouts of America collected more than 70,000 pounds of food for Mesa-based United Food Bank during its annual Scouting for Food Drive last weekend.

This year’s drive was 30,000 pounds shy of the 100,000 pounds United Food Bank needs in order to provide nutritious meals to the thousands of people in need in Arizona.
