They’re all knotted up.

Brophy and Mountain Pointe finished tied for total votes this week in the 6A Conference Coaches Poll after the number of votes dropped off 50 percent thanks to Monday’s day off.

Brophy picked up six first-place votes and won the regular season match-up 62-61 back in the first week of the season with a last second shot.

The Pride won 19 of their first 20 games under the direction of first-year coach Duane Eason, who has focused on defense and it’s lead to a somewhat surprising season.

“Mountain Pointe has always been a giant waiting to be woken up,” one coach said. “They are the real deal.”

Pinnacle and Desert Vista remained in third and fourth place, respectively.

Locally, Mesa and Red Mountain moved up a spot after the Jackrabbits beat Mountain View on Friday and the Mountain Lions beat Skyline and Dobson.

Mountain View moved back into the top 10 at No. 9 despite the loss to Mesa.
