The College of St. Scholastica hosts social work career prep day


With the graduation of its first class of Arizona students just weeks away, The College of St. Scholastica will host a job preparation workshop geared toward social work students.

The Social Work Career Prep Day will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29 in Room LB 300 at Mesa Community College, 1833 W. Southern Ave. Participating students interested in finding employment in the social work field will:

  • Learn how to tailor their resume/cover letter for social work jobs.
  • Work on interview skills.
  • Learn about tips to increase job application confidence.
  • Hear from social work professionals about what they are looking for in job applicants.
  • Hear a panel discussion of social work professionals.

Lunch will be provided, and the workshop is free and open to the public. RSVP at go.css.edu/SW-Workshop.
