Single-game tickets for the Chicago Cubs spring training at Sloan Park in Mesa will go on sale today at a premium price before they become available to the general public at face value tomorrow, the team announced Wednesday.

The Cubs will play their first spring training game in the Cactus League on Feb. 25 against the Oakland Athletics.

A “Mastercard presale” event will begin at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6, where fans using a Mastercard credit card can buy tickets at a 15 percent premium above face value, according to a statement released by the team this week. Customers who use other forms of payment can buy tickets with a 20 percent increase today, according to team officials.

Tickets will be sold online at cubs.com or at 800-843-2827. Beginning at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 they will also be available for purchase in person at the Sloan Park ticket office, 2330 W. Rio Salado Parkway in Mesa, which will stay open until 5 p.m.

Sales are limited to six tickets per game and a maximum of four games per order, according to the team.
