Gather up the whole family and head down to Hohokam Stadium, 1235 N. Center St., for a free night of fun and to celebrate the kick-off of the Mesa Fall Youth Sports season this Friday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m.
“Signing up with the city of Mesa Youth Sports is a great way for your kids to be introduced to a sport they may not have played before,” said Lily King-Cisneros, with the city of Mesa Public Information and Communications Office. “All of our coaches promote positive play which encourages youth development and wellness in sports with a healthy dose of competition. All of our sports focus on having fun, teaching the proper fundamentals and skills and developing good sportsmanship. We have something for everyone and also at an affordable price.”
Games, door prizes, food to purchase, and the chance to register for the fall youth sports programs and a free movie showing will be going on inside the stadium.
Kids will also have the opportunity on the same night to participate in the NFL’s Punt, Pass & Kick event for boys and girls ages 6-15. This activity allows kids to compete against each other, in separate age groups, by showing off their punting, passing, and place kicking skills.
