Two weeks of frustration quickly went by the wayside for Mesa football on Friday night.
The Jackrabbits thumped Copper Canyon 60-19 after two lopsided defeats to open the season.
Quarterback Nate Hanna threw for six touchdown passes including two each to Marcus Taylor and Boyd Mox.
Kris Jackson had four total touchdowns (three rushing and receiving) including an 85-yard run.

The Coyotes returned to their winning ways to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Quarterback Steven Castle connected on a 73-yard pass to Marcus Brown and 20 yards to Darius Glover in the first half.
Glover returned a punt block for a score, caught a touchdown pass and had an interception.
Mountain View 35, Corona del Sol 18
The Toros took over in the second half to improve to 2-0.
Corona del Sol led 12-7, but Mountain View pushed the halftime lead out to 21-12 on Tate Allen’s touchdown catch just before halftime.
Devin Waite scored a defensive touchdown and then when Corona tried to get back into it with a touchdown to make it 28-18 in the fourth quarter the Toros’ Alex Talamantes sealed it with a kickoff return for a score.

The Mustangs defense controlled the line of scrimmage and the offense kept adding on after Issic Gomez opened the scoring with a short run to improve to 2-0.
