It was one of those tale-of-two-halves type of games between Skyline and Hamilton.
The Coyotes grabbed an early lead but couldn’t finish Friday as the Huskies came back for a 27-17 win.
Skyline (3-3) took a 17-6 lead into halftime thanks to an Aaron Wood 10-yard run and a Solomon Buchanan 2-yard run.
Hamilton (4-1) found the end zone three times in the second half, but also had a goal-line stand, forcing and incomplete pass on fourth-and-goal from the 3, on the way to the 6A Conference non-region win.
Westwood 28, Tolleson 14
The Warriors (3-3) rushed out to a 21-0 lead only to see Tolleson pull within a touchdown.
Westwood put the finishing touches on it when Carter Layton connected with Will Driggs on 4th and 13 for a touchdown to sew up the game.
Desert Vista 42, Dobson 0
The Thunder (4-1) raced out to a 21-0 halftime lead, and the Mustangs (3-2) had no answer in the second half.
Desert Ridge 63, Desert Mountain 27
Tyrese Allen’s 3-yard score in the second quarter broke open a 14-all game before the Jaguars (4-1) pushed their lead to 35-20 at the half.
