Larry H. Miller Dealerships, in a joint effort with Safe Kids Maricopa County and Phoenix Children’s Center for Family Health and Safety, invites the public to attend a free car seat safety event in Mesa this Saturday, Oct. 7, as part of the dealership group’s “Keys to Car Seat Safety” campaign. This will mark the second of three events in the Valley to emphasize the importance of child passenger safety and awareness.
Statistics show that 73 percent of car seats are not used or installed correctly and motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among children in the U.S. Properly installed car seats can reduce death during an accident by 71 percent.
There will be free public car seat and booster seat safety checks Oct. 7 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa by Safe Kids and Phoenix Children’s Center for Family Health and Safety volunteers inspecting and adjusting car seats. In addition, families will be able to speak with certified car seat technicians and first responders, and enjoy complimentary food, drinks and music
Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa is located at 2025 W. Riverview Auto Drive.
