An unexpected home game in the second round of the 6A Conference playoffs after the seventh-seeded Mountain Lions beat No. 10 Horizon 56-25.
Red Mountain (9-2) will host No. 16 Westview (5-6) after the Knights topped Desert Ridge 23-7.
The Mountain Lions were led early by Lance Lawson and Gerald Wilbon.
Lawson opened the game with an 80-yard run and Wilbon had a 50-yard pick 6 for a 14-0 lead before Lawson connected with Wilbon for a third score.
After Huskies closed within 21-17, Red Moutain quarterback Cannon Griner connected with Wilbon for a 40-yard touchdown and Lawson added a 1-yard touchdown run for a 34-17 halftime lead.
