In their continuous quest to provide better care to patients, IASIS Healthcare’s three Arizona hospitals – Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, St. Luke’s Medical Center in Phoenix and Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital – are expanding their partnership with EmCare to enhance their anesthesia, emergency medicine and radiology services.

EmCare is a national provider of physician practice management services. The company began providing the management and physician staffing for the three hospitals’ emergency, interventional radiology and teleradiology departments on April 1. Beginning July 1, EmCare will also manage and staff radiologists for the three hospitals’ diagnostic radiology services. EmCare’s extensive resources, training and tools will allow the three Valley hospitals to improve their metrics, outcomes, patient satisfaction and efficiency.

“EmCare brings more than four decades of dependable, trusted care to our hospital system,” said Eric Paul, market president of IASIS Healthcare in Arizona. “We had an agreement with EmCare for anesthesiology and were impressed with the quality and outcomes we received. When we were looking for a new group for emergency medicine and radiology, EmCare seemed like the perfect fit to deliver even better health care solutions for clinicians, patients and staff.”

The hospitals and EmCare have been working together leading up to the new agreement to identify areas of opportunity and look for ways to enhance the patients’ experience. Both companies are committed to providing high-impact improvements and new programs that work across hospital areas to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
