Jersey Mike’s Subs opens 2nd Mesa location

Jersey Mike’s Subs will open its second Mesa location tomorrow, Jan. 10. Franchise owner Joshua Barton will host a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 14 to support three Mesa schools.

The new restaurant, located at 2119 N. Power Road, is circulating 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 donation to Red Mountain High School, Las Sendas Elementary School, and Red Mountain Ranch Elementary School. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.

“I am very excited to become a part of the Mesa community and begin our relationship with the local schools during our grand opening fundraiser,” Barton said. “Everyone here has been so welcoming to us and we are excited to build and grow alongside such a great community.”

Barton and Jersey Mike’s is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $25 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. Last year, the company’s Seventh Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $5.5 million for nearly 150 charities throughout the country.

To recognize those making a difference in local communities, Jersey Mike’s is seeking nominations for five $5,000 Sub Abover Grants. Through Jan. 19, go to BeASubAbove.com to nominate an individual who is making a difference. As a reward, Jersey Mike’s will send you a coupon good for $2 off any sub. Grants will be awarded in February.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,500 restaurants open and under development nationwide. This year, Jersey Mike’s was named the country’s fastest-growing limited service chain and fastest-growing sandwich chain in the 2017 Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100.

The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this Mesa location directly at 480-396-1188.
