LGE Design Build has completed construction on a new, state-of-the-art distribution center for WireMasters, a global distributor of wires, cables and other electrical components, in Mesa.

The $3.3 million new headquarters takes over 1748 N. Higley Road in Mesa, and the custom, 33,147-square-foot space will allow the distributor of interconnect products to expand its offerings within the military, aerospace and defense industries while catering to its customer base in the western North American territory, including Boeing and others at Falcon Field Airport. In addition to enhancing inventory levels, the new facility allows WireMasters to broaden its value-added services for clients, which include wire kitting, cutting, stripping and laser-marking, among other capabilities.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth in recent years, and it became increasingly evident that we would need to invest in a new building to accommodate our needs,” said WireMasters President and Chief Executive Officer David C. Hill. “By customizing the facility in accordance with our customers’ needs, we can better serve our target markets and ensure we not only meet, but exceed industry demands.”

Groundbreaking on the new headquarters began in this monthg, after WireMasters’ real estate agent suggested the company partner with Phoenix-based LGE Design Build on the undertaking. WireMasters ultimately opted to do so, noting LGE’s familiarity with the process and the general contractor’s proven record of success with similar projects in the area.

“WireMasters had a firm sense of what they wanted to accomplish with this project, and they were very clear in voicing their objectives and outlining their specific needs,” said LGE Design Build President and CEO David Sellers. “This took any guesswork out of the process and allowed us to create something that will fit their needs – and allow them to fulfill their customers’ – for the foreseeable future.”
