The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink at Merry Main Street in downtown Mesa will offer more than just skating under the stars this weekend. Whiskey Rose, a Mesa country band that performs songs made popular by everyone from Sugarland to George Strait, will perform at the ice rink tonight, Dec. 9, and tomorrow, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is located just east of Mesa City Plaza, 20 E. Main St. Skating is available weeknights from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 10 p.m.
Weekday specials are now available at the ice rink through Dec. 20:
-Mondays are “Family Night” from 5 to 10 pm. Bring the whole family and skate for $8 per person.
-Tuesdays are “Two-fer Tuesday” from 5 to 10 p.m. You and a friend or significant other can skate two for the price of one general admission.
-Wednesdays are “Ugly Sweater Wednesday” from 5 to 10 p.m. Wear an ugly sweater and skate for $8.
-Thursdays are “Student Night” from 5 to 10 p.m. Students skate for $8 with a valid student I.D.
The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink is just part of Merry Main Street, which continues through Jan. 1. Merry Main Street also offers Mesa’s Christmas tree which is nearly four stories tall; Santa’s sELFie Village near the Christmas tree; visits from Santa Claus Dec. 9, 10 and 17; Jack Frost’s Food Truck Forest at Pioneer Park and Holiday Happenings at the MAC (Mesa Arts Center).
