Local volunteers provide hope filled holidays

More than 500 volunteers spent last weekend at Mesa Community College packing 155,000 meals through Feed My Starving Children’s (FMSC) Hope Filled Holidays event. These meals are in support FMSC’s effort to ship an additional 21 million meals to Haiti following the devastation of Hurricane Matthew.

Groups from organizations such as North Bible Church, American Traffic Solutions and Light of Christ Lutheran Church, as well as several families, sponsored one or more pallets of food. Funds were raised to pay for a full container of food to go to the struggling nation which has been plagued by earthquakes and hurricanes in recent years. For more information on how you can donate and volunteer, visit www.fmsc.org.
