Building upon the success of its Mathnasium of Gilbert learning center, Mathnasium has opened a new location in east Mesa. Mathnasium of Mesa South offers fun and effective personalized after-school math programs for children in grades kindergarten through 12.

Mathnasium of Mesa South, located at 9221 E Baseline Road, Suite 103, is the second learning center owned by math educator and business owner Suchita Desai, who has operated Mathnasium of Gilbert since March 2016.

The company’s proprietary Mathnasium Method, implemented at more than 800 Mathnasium centers in the U.S. and abroad, is a unique program that provides each child with a customized learning plan and personalized instruction in a way that makes sense to them. The program is designed to help students master number facts, build computational skills, and improve number sense, an intuitive understanding of how numbers work.

“We are very pleased to open our new Mathnasium of Mesa South center, which is dedicated to teaching math in a way that really connects with kids,” Desai said. “This is our second center in the Phoenix East Valley area, underscoring Mathnasium’s commitment to supporting the children of the greater Phoenix community. Our students quickly learn that math can be fun and interesting as well as extraordinarily useful, both in terms of academic success and for the valuable life skills it provides. We are thrilled to be able to bring the Mathnasium Method to the parents and children of east Mesa.”

For students, the Mathnasium experience begins with an assessment designed to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. These results provide the foundation from which Mathnasium constructs students’ customized learning plans. Students learn math in a friendly, productive learning environment and are taught by caring and knowledgeable instructors well-versed in integrating Mathnasium’s techniques with the math curriculum used in Mesa and Gilbert schools. The Mathnasium Method uses a unique combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written techniques and has been developed more than 40 years of practical experience with thousands of students.
