The city of Mesa’s Office of Economic Development has been honored by the Global Data Center Alliance (GDCA) with the Economic Development Team of the Year Award.

The award was presented at a ceremony Nov. 17 at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale.

“We are very pleased to be recognized with this esteemed Data Center Award for Economic Development Team of the Year,” Mesa Economic Development Director Bill Jabjiniak said. “Our team has worked diligently to make Mesa a premier location for technology companies and to provide assistance to data centers considering Mesa as a place to locate.”

The GDCA Awards were established to recognize companies, individuals, and communities for excellence in Arizona’s Data Center industry.

The GDCA hosts industry events, provides educational resources, advocates for legislative change, and celebrates individuals, organizations, and firms that are leaders in advancing the data center industry.
