On July 15, Mesa police responded to a stabbing call at 1248 S. Vineyard, No. 75. Police officials said the victim and the suspect in this case are brothers.
Officers said they arrived and located an adult male with a stab wound who was transported to the hospital in serious condition. The suspect remained at the scene and was identified as 28-year-old Felipe Barajas Ramirez. Once at the hospital, police said the victim succumbed to his injuries and that the suspect stated he was in a verbal argument with the victim over the use of the television and video games when the altercation turned physical and the victim was stabbed. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old David Ramirez.
Felipe Barajas Ramirez was placed under arrest and has been charged with one count of second degree murder.
