Mesa PD to host community meeting regarding recent child sexual assault

The Mesa Police Department just announced it will host a community meeting tomorrow night to seek assistance and inform residents of a child sexual assault that recently occurred in their neighborhood.

An unknown male entered a residence while the occupants were sleeping in the area of Broadway Road and Mesa Drive on Jan. 9. While inside, he sexually assaulted a child.

General crime prevention tips will also be given at the meeting on Jan. 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Holmes Elementary School, 948 S. Horne.

Suspect description is Hispanic male, approximately 18-30 years old, short build with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
