Mesa Public Library accepting ‘Food for Fines’

Food for Fines is back at Mesa Public Library!

This Sunday, April 9, starts National Library Week and to celebrate the Mesa Public Library wants to offer its patrons the opportunity to help the United Food Bank and have their library fines waived. Bring in nonperishable food items to your favorite Mesa Public Library branch and for each item you bring, $1 of overdue fines will be waived. If you bring in three cans of food, $3 will be waived. It’s a great way to clear off some library fines and help the United Food Bank at the same time.

Food for Fines is from Monday, April 10 through Saturday, April 29. All donated food items will support the United Food Bank. The library requests that you do not donate food in glass containers. People are also encouraged to donate food even if they don’t have library fines.

Mesa Public Library has four branches:

  • Main Library, 64 E. First St.
  • Dobson Ranch Library, 2425 S. Dobson Road
  • Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Road
  • Mesa Express Library, 2055 S. Power Road, Suite 1031
