National builder and developer Taylor Morrison and Phoenix radio station 99.9 KEZ announced Arizona’s Excellence in Education Teacher of the Month is from Mesa.
Mindy Przeor, a physical education teacher at Zaharis Elementary School in Mesa, was selected as December’s Excellence in Education Teacher of the Month for her efforts in encouraging her students to participate in physical education in school and after-school programs.
Przeor was nominated for the Excellence in Education award by her husband, Kris Przeor, for her contribution to the kids and to the development of a Mesa 5K event.
“You’ve made an impact on so many kids and so many families,” said Marty Manning of 99.9 KEZ, who presented Przeor with the award and a check for $99 from Taylor Morrison.
“Mindy Przeor is an excellent role model to her students,” said Brad Schoenberg, division president for Taylor Morrison’s Phoenix division. “Her dedication extends beyond her role as a teacher. She is a mentor to her community. Taylor Morrison has built its reputation on the kind of dedication and drive that Mindy Przeor has demonstrated through her accomplishments. That’s why we’re proud to take part in Arizona’s Excellence in Education program and encourage community members to write in and recommend great Arizona teachers for the award.”
Monthly Excellence in Education award winners in 2017-18 receive recognition on 99.9 KEZ, a check for $99, a plaque commemorating the honor, a winner’s video of the award presentation, and inclusion in an end-of-the-year gala where one teacher is awarded Taylor Morrison and 99.9 KEZ Excellence in Education Teacher of the Year.
