Mountain Vista Medical Center to offer free family fun, health screenings July 23

In celebration of its ninth anniversary, Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa will host a family-friendly event on Saturday, July 23, offering free back to school eye checks, kids’ activities, food trucks and the chance to win prizes.

The free event will have something for everyone between 10 a.m. and noon, when families are encouraged to bring their kids. There will be games and crafts, appearances from special guests including Captain America, Super Girl and the Mesa Fire and Medical Department. Guests will also have the opportunity to get back-to-school health questions answered and meet the local family medicine and women’s health doctors who are on the Mountain Vista Medical Center staff.

“We love being a part of the East Valley community and giving back to residents,” said Susan Dolezal, RN, chief nursing officer at Mountain Vista Medical Center. “We look forward to another year of providing comprehensive health care services to Arizona residents and visitors.”

The Phoenix Suns Solar Squad will be performing between 10 and 11 a.m. and the Phoenix Sun Gorilla “Go” will make a special appearance between 11 a.m. and noon.

Mountain Vista Medical Center, part of IASIS Healthcare, is a 178-bed, full-service hospital, featuring all-private rooms and advanced medical technology. It is located in Mesa, just north of U.S. 60 at Crismon Road and Southern Avenue.
