Patients at Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa took part in a Halloween party on Oct. 18 in which they were able to choose from a variety of costumes for the season. The Spirit of Children Program hosted the Halloween party for pediatric patients in the Forever Young Zone at the hospital, located at 1400 S. Dobson Road.
The party featured costumes, fun crafts and festive games and activities bringing the magic of Halloween to life for children and their families at Cardon Children’s who otherwise may not be able to celebrate the holiday. Patients got to choose from a variety of costumes for the season.
Spirit of Children, a program of Spirit Halloween retail stores, helps make hospitals less scary for kids and their families by providing fun during the Halloween season. The program has raised more than $317,355 for Cardon Children’s Medical Center to date. Funds raised go to Child Life departments which provide developmental, educational and therapeutic support for children undergoing medical treatment.
