More than 60 Intel employees will take on several projects over two days this week to support Save the Family in Mesa as the organization seeks to help families overcome homelessness and achieve self-sufficiency.
Beginning at 1 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 23, the Intel volunteers will deep clean and paint a home a family will be moving into in Mesa. In addition, they will be preparing hygiene packs and casseroles as well as sorting through donations at Save the Family, 125 E. University St. in Mesa.
Officials at Save the Family said the group ensures that each housing unit they provide is fully deep cleaned and has a new coat of paint for every family moving in to start on the path toward self sufficiency. In addition, they provide families with important hygiene supplies, clothing, furniture, books and other items.
