Spring season begins in earnest this week

The spring sports schedule kicks off Wednesday with softball and baseball.

The spring season always creeps up on me.

Whether it is the hangover from state wrestling or the start of spring training gigs, I tend to start my prep for the spring sport season late.

And here we go again.

The season officially gets underway on Wednesday and I’ve barely given baseball, softball, tennis, track and boys volleyball a thought.

My bad.
