Teen Tech Week at Mesa Public Libraries

Local teens will be tuning in at the Mesa Public Library as it celebrates the annual Teen Tech Week March 5-11. They join thousands of other libraries and schools across the country who are celebrating this year’s theme, “Be the Source of Change.” The year’s theme is to raise awareness about how libraries create a space to extend teens’ learning beyond the classroom where they can explore, create and share content.

“Teen Tech Week is a way for librarians and educators to collaborate with and educate teens about technology,” Mesa Library Director Heather Wolf said. “Over the last several years the library’s role in increasing digital literacy has become more and more important, equal to that of reading literacy. We hope teens and their parents can utilize these free programs the Mesa Public Library offers to the community.”

Mesa Library will be offering the following workshops throughout the week to increase teen technology literacy. Registration is required as space is limited. Register through: www.MesaLibrary.org.
