Patrick Walsh, director of creative and performing arts for Mesa Public Schools, was named Administrator of the Year for the Central Region by the Arizona Thespians. This peer-selected recognition honors his career contributions and dedication to promoting theater education in Mesa schools and the community. Walsh has had a long association with the Arizona Thespians, having joined as a student member in 1976.

Walsh helps define the role of arts in Mesa schools. He steers the implementation of programs and classes that best suit the needs of students, helps teachers develop and expand their arts programs, and guides students to learn and grow as individuals through the arts.
